With a flow of 42.7 billion dollars in 2011, foreign direct investment (FDI) fell for the third consecutive year on African soil after the "2012 Report on World Investment" of Nations conference United for Trade and Development (UNCTAD), published July 5, 2012. North Africa and the Maghreb Between 2010 and 2011, FDI flows to North Africa is indeed gone from 13.6 to 5.8 billion as a result of the Arab spring.Egypt and Libya have been particularly affected.
